Synopsis
A family drama in Iran gripped by the international economic sanctions and an intense portrait of female emancipation. At the age of 40, Leila is not married and has spent her whole life looking after her parents and four brothers. Determined to turn her life around, Leila decides to start a family business in a department store but she has to enter into open conflict with her father and start a revolution in her family.

Biography
Saeed Roustaee was born in Iran in 1989. After graduating from Soore University with a specialization in directing, he made his first short films. With his debut feature, Life and a Day (2016), he won the prize for the best directing and screenplay at the Fajr International Film Festival and was awarded other international distinctions. In 2019 Just 6.5 had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival, in the Orizzonti section, and was nominated for a César as the best foreign film. Leila's Brothers was selected for the Official Competition of the Cannes Film Festival in 2022.
