10 days of screenings in theatres and online, meetings with authors, special events on cinema and cultures from 3 continents in different locations in Milan: Cineteca Milano Arlecchino and MIC-Museo del Cinema, Fondazione Prada’s Cinema Godard, and Auditorium San Fedele

Q&A sessions in theaters and Tea Times at the Festival Center with FESCAAAL’s guests and friends are also back.

The Festival Center at Bar Il Girevole (Galleria Hoepli, in front of Auditorium San Fedele) will be open on the following days and times:

  • from Saturday, May 4th to Sunday, May 12th: from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm;
  • Saturday, May 11th: from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm;
  • Friday, May 3rd, and Wednesday, May 8th: closed.

All you need to know to enjoy FESCAAAL

All films are in their original language with Italian subtitles, except for two films of the Tribute to Lav Diaz (Norte, the End of History and From What is Before), which are in their original language with English subtitles.

The language of the films and the presence of subtitles are always indicated in the dedicated film sheet.

Films from the “Windows on the World” Feature Film Competition that are not screened in theaters can be watched online on (only in Italy), where all films from the African Short Film Competition and Extr’A Competition (except for Casablanca, Lonely, and Eldorado) are also available, as well as films from the Flash section The Gift, Perdidos en la noche, and Until Tomorrow.

Just like last year, films streaming on are available in Italy for varying durations from May 5th to May 12th, 2024. Each film has a start date and time for viewing and an expiration date and time. Availability ranges from two hours to the entire duration of the Festival.

Access to films is not restricted by time and can be viewed at any time during the availability period and within the limits of available slots.
