Synopsis
According to the nomad tradition of bauryna salu, as soon as he was born, Yersultan was entrusted to his grandmother. The child’s infancy is very harsh, spent between the salt mine and the humble home of his grandmother with the constant dream of being reunited with his father and mother. When his grandmother dies, Yersultan, now an adolescent, will have to face another trauma: fitting into a family nucleus of parents he hardly knows. An intense psychological and coming of age portrait of a young Kazakh inspired by the director’s own life.
