Biography
ZimmerFrei is an artist duo founded in Bologna and active since the year 2000, formed by Anna de Manincor (filmmaker and visual artist) and Massimo Carozzi (sound designer and musician) and a stable crew of collaborators. ZimmerFrei produces documentary films, video installations, sound projects and performances. The collective's films are portraits of experimental communities and territories in transformation, narratives that range from observational documentary to staged documentary, in search of an adaptive and original expressive formula to explore the boundaries between shared public spaces, commons and deeply private territories.
