Synopsis
Set in the glow of a South London summer, through parties of celebration and gatherings of remembrance, two brothers try to find freedom from the grief of losing their parents.
Based on a story by the director/writer, the film investigates the value of brotherliness and the community facing the grief of loss.

Biography
Caleb Azumah Nelson is a writer and director, based in South East London. Pray (B Side/BBC Films) is his first short film, and he also has a feature, The Last Stop, in development with Heyday/Film4. In addition to his original TV series, Endless (Element Pictures), he is adapting his novels, Open Water (2021) and Small Worlds (2023) for TV, the latter optioned by BBC Studios-backed Brock Media. His novels and photography have won numerous awards, including the Costa Prize. He is a National Book Award ‘5 Under 35’ Honoree and he is a Fellow of MacDowell artist residency program.
