Synopsis
In the attempt to return money to his girlfriend, Naeem goes to his sister’s house for a loan, but in a frenetic long take, he will find himself caught up in a dramatic family situation that will force him to question himself.

Biography
Ahmed Sobhy is a director and producer based in Cairo, Egypt. His career started through a diverse collection of projects, working as assistant director or assistant producer. In 2020 Sobhy finished his first short film as director and producer, A Very Old Accident, that participated in the Kinoki International Film Festival, Les Nuits Med in France and Alexandria Short Film Festival 2021. Objects Are Closer Than They Appear had its world première in Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in 2023 in the section African Perspectives.
