Synopsis
A comedy set in the Bolivia of the 1980s. Genoveva, 16 years old, is trying to survive her desperate parents, the bullying of her schoolmates, the violence of the army and drugs which are increasingly present, thanks to her sharp irony and a galloping imagination which takes her on intergalactic journeys and mystical flights. The best times are the ones spent with her grandmother (Geraldine Chaplin) or with her beloved little brother. One day, Hernán, her mother’s spiritual guide, a young foreigner who has recently arrived int e city and who will change the teenager’s life forever, suddenly bursts into her life.

Biography
Born in Bolivia in 1982, Juan Pablo Richter made his directing debut with some shorts, including The Last Step, which was selected in 2012 for the Short Film Corner at the Cannes Film Festival and won the prize for the best short film at the Fenavid International Festival of Santa Cruz. Then he has written, directed and edited several short films and documentaries.
