Runner, distribution of materials and promotion of the festival
Be our feet in the city!
This activity is fundamental for the maximum diffusion and promotion of the Festivalon the territory of Milan, and requires a strong commitment in the weeks just before the event and during the week of the Festival itself, organised in shifts and coordinated by a person in charge.
AAA usher required!
You will be in charge of welcoming the public in the different cinemas where the screenings will take place and managing the info points at the entrance.
It is necessary to be hospitable, friendly and ready to face unforeseen situations and, above all, very knowledgeable about everything related to programming. You will be in direct contact with our audience and therefore represent the very face of the Festival.
This activity is mainly carried out in the afternoons and evenings (afternoon shift 2.00 p.m.-6.00 p.m. / evening shift 6.00 p.m.-10.00 p.m.), as well as in the mornings for screenings for schools only (9.00 a.m.-1.00 p.m.).
Get ready to experience a real journey!
Every year, guests from all over the world come to the Festival. Your mission will be to be a point of reference for guests throughout their stay at the Festival, from the first reception at the airport to the screenings in the auditorium. Thanks to you they can also get to know Milan.
A manager will supervise each activity, following a daily schedule.
Indicatively, the commitment will be from morning to evening (not continuous), depending on the guests’ schedules. A good knowledge of foreign languages (English, French, Spanish and/or Arabic) is required for this activity.
It is not a question of interpreting, but of conversing and talking more simply with our guests, establishing a convivial and spontaneous relationship.
Do you have a camera?
Do you like documenting cultural events and taking portraits of filmmakers? Do you like to collect images of spectators waiting at the cinema box office, browsing through the programme or dreaming in front of the screen in the cinema? Are you just waiting to move around the organisational backstage of a festival, documenting its frenzy in pictures? Then this is the activity for you!
You will have the opportunity to follow the events of the festival with the specific task of narrating it through photography.
A small working team will be formed, coordinated by an internal Festival manager, and the activities will be organised according to a calendar of daily appointments in the various locations.
To make it an experience to remember
What we expect and what we offer
What do we expect from you?
We are looking for volunteers without age limits who are available during the week of the event (29 April – 8 May 2022), with a strong sense of cooperation, a spirit of adaptation, a desire to meet people and a lot of curiosity.
Availability will also be requested in the weeks preceding the Festival to support the activities of setting up the spaces, promotion and distribution of information materials.
Knowledge of foreign languages, preferably English, but also French, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese and Arabic is definitely a plus. Our guests come from all over the world!
What do we offer you?
We offer the opportunity to get to know, take part in and actively contribute to the construction and realisation of a cultural and cinematographic event of international interest, being to all intents and purposes part of the Festival’s organisational staff.
You will come into direct contact with directors and operators in the film industry.
You will have a special pass to access all the events related to the Festival, subject to service shifts and availability of seats in the theatre.
We will activate insurance coverage for occasional volunteers for the duration of the Festival.
