Biography
Tétshim was born in Kinshasa and is a designer, illustrator and cartoonist. He developed a passion for animated cinema and worked on various projects with many Congolese animators. In 2007, he created a collective with Frank Mukunday, Angelo Nzeka and Trésor Makong, with whom he still works today. In 2010 Tétshim and Frank Mukunday began as self-taught filmmakers, making short animated films and they founded the “Crayon de cuivre” studio in Lubumbashi. After two experimental short films, Cailloux and Kukinga, they made Machini, which was presented at the Biennale of Lubumbashi and then selected for the Festivals of Clermont Ferrand and Rotterdam in January 2020.
