Salah Isaaad was born in Algeria in 1989 and grew up in a family of publishers. After secondary school, he decided to study law. He then emigrated to France, where he studied film for two years at the University of Paris VIII. Alternating studies and professional activity, he attended first the ARFIS, the post-graduate school of film and audiovisuals in Lyon, then the École Internationale de Création Audiovisuelle et de Réalisation. In 2021, his debut film, Soula, was selected in the post-production phase at Final Cut in Venice, the Venice Film Festival programme for support for the finalization of African and Arab films.
