Biography
Federico Francioni was born in Campobasso in 1988. After graduating from the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, he made with Yan Cheng the documentaries Tomba del Tuffatore, The First Shot – Best Film at the 53rd Pesaro Film Festival – and the short film Octavia, promoted by the Chicago Film Archive ad made with archive footage. His other experiences include the Ateliers Varan and the residence “Frontières 2018” in Paris, supported by the Musée de l’Histoire de l’Immigration and by the G.R.E.C., which contributed to making the documentary Rue Garibaldi. In 2021, he made, with Gaël de Fournas, the short film Akouchetame, part of the new product currently in the phase of development Dar el Walidin. For the publishers Artdigiland he curated a volume of interviews entitled Il mondo vivente, dedicated to the director Eugène Green.
