Celles qui restent

A group of Tunisian women has been leading a battle since 2012 to find out the truth about all those husbands, sons and brothers who have literally disappeared in their attempts to reach Europe. They carry their photos during their demonstrations in front of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Italian Embassy in Tunis. They all disappeared trying to reach Europe during the time of the Arab Spring. Among them there is Om El Khir Ouirtatani, a woman determined to find out what happened to her husband.
