Luca Ciriello
Biography
Luca Ciriello (1988) is an Italian director, documentary-maker and producer. An Arts graduate, he founded the video production company “Lunia Film Srls” (of which he is a director) and studied film at the “Pigrecoemme Film School in Naples and at “Filmap – Atelier di Cinema del Reale” in Ponticelli (Naples). His first short documentary was Racconti dal Palavesuvio (Special Mention at the Lucania Film Festival and at the Festival dell’Isola di Roma “Mamma Roma”). In 2019 he worked with the crew of Francesco Lettieri for the music video clips of Liberato and the “Ultras” project. In 2020 he produced his first work, the historical short film Eroi Perduti, directed by Lorenzo Giroffi (presented at the RIFF in Rome), took part in the Giornate degli Autori (at the 77th Venice Film Festival) with the documentary Quaranta cavalli (Laguna Sud Prize) and in the 61st Festival dei Popoli with the documentary L’armée rouge (produced by Parallelo 41 and Lunia Film). He currently lives in Naples and speaks Italian, Spanish, English, French, Portuguese and Swahili.
