Biography
Loris Giuseppe Nese is a director, screenwriter, director of photography and animator for films, video clips and advertisements, cofounder of the production and distribution company, Lapazio Film. In 2018 he won the Pitch Me Award of Cartoons on the Bay and the Special Mention of the Solinas Prize. He is the author of Those Bad Things, which won a prize at the 33rd Critics’ Week at Venice and was the only short Italian film at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival 2019. He worked on the screenplay and photography of Veronica Can’t Smoke, which won the prize for the Bets Short Film at the 34th Critics’ Week on Venice and on the photography the editing and the animation of the documentary The Moment of Transition. He directed, wrote the screenplay and animated the short film Bad Mood, which won a prize at the 2020 Dok Leipzig and at the Torino Film Festival, and in 2021 presented, amongst others, at the Slamdance Film Festival and at the International Festival of Animated Film of Annecy.
